In 2022 a Solana NFT project called More Bears was abandoned by its team. A few of us rebuilt it, then did the same for other projects that had been left for dead. Every time, the same thing was sitting underneath: wallets buying from themselves, insiders selling the top, and platforms taking a fee on the way up and on the way down.
So we started tracing instead of rebuilding. That turned into Analyzer69000: a scanner, a rug radar, public case files anyone could argue with, and a long run of investigations.
The rule never changed. Show the receipts and let people decide. Below, anything we could prove is stated plainly, reporting is credited to the outlet that did it, and allegations are marked as allegations. Where we got something wrong, it's in here too.
I'm stepping away to build something bigger in tech and finance. The tools are switched off. The record stays up.
The casino
The pattern shows up decades before crypto. The casinos lost money. The owner still got paid.
Atlantic City casinos owned by Donald Trump in the early 1990s, making him the city's biggest casino owner.
- Those three casinos took roughly a third of the town's gambling revenue. The Taj Mahal opened in 1990 billed as the largest casino-hotel in the world.Reported1
- Between 1990 and 1995, about half of Atlantic City's casinos turned a profit. All three Trump casinos lost money.Reported1
- Four corporate bankruptcies followed: the Taj Mahal in 1991, the Castle and the Plaza in 1992, Trump Hotels & Casino Resorts in 2004 with about $1.8 billion of debt, and Trump Entertainment Resorts in 2009. In 2004, outside shareholders went from owning 44% of the company to 0.05%.Proven3
- Stock and bond investors lost more than $1.5 billion. The New York Times found he put in little of his own money, moved personal debts onto the casinos and collected millions along the way.Reported4
- In 2015 the Treasury's FinCEN fined the Trump Taj Mahal $10 million for willful Bank Secrecy Act violations, including failing to report suspicious transactions. Trump was no longer running it by then. Remember the law; it comes back in chapter 4.Proven5
The banks said no
By 2021, some of the biggest names in banking had stopped doing business with him. Keep that in mind for chapter 3.
Civil fraud penalty ordered in 2024 for inflating asset values. An appeals court threw out the penalty in 2025 and kept the fraud finding.
- After January 6, 2021, Deutsche Bank, his main lender for two decades, decided to stop working with him. He owed it more than $300 million. The bank never announced this; it was reported from people familiar with the decision.Reported6
- Signature Bank closed two personal accounts holding about $5.3 million and said publicly that the president should resign.Proven6
- Capital One closed more than 300 accounts tied to the family and its businesses. The Trump Organization sued in 2025, calling it political. Capital One says it followed an anti-money-laundering review. A judge dismissed the first complaint in March 2026; an amended one is pending.Alleged7
- He says JPMorgan gave him 20 days to leave and Bank of America turned away his deposits, and in January 2026 he sued JPMorgan for $5 billion. JPMorgan says it doesn't close accounts for political reasons and that the suit has no merit.Alleged9
- The fraud case was civil, not criminal, and no assets were frozen. Both sides have appealed to New York's highest court, which hadn't ruled when this was published.Proven10
- In 2019 he wrote that he was "not a fan" of Bitcoin, calling it "based on thin air."Proven12
The comeback
Shut out of the old system, the family built its own. In under two years: a crypto platform, a stablecoin, two memecoins, a bitcoin miner, a bitcoin treasury and a proposed trust bank.
$TRUMP's fall from its January 19, 2025 peak of $73.43. $MELANIA is down 99.3%. Prices as of October 24, 2026.
- Sep 2024World Liberty Financial launches. Its token sales raise $550 million, and a Trump family company is entitled to 75% of the net revenue.Proven13
- Jan 2025Justin Sun says he has bought $75 million of WLF's token. The SEC is suing him at the time.Proven25
- Jan 17, 2025$TRUMP launches three days before the inauguration. $MELANIA follows.Proven19
- Jan 2025An Abu Dhabi fund backed by Sheikh Tahnoon agrees to buy 49% of WLF for $500 million, with $187 million going to Trump entities, according to the Wall Street Journal. Trump: "my sons are handling that."Reported15
- Mar–May 2025Abu Dhabi's MGX puts $2 billion into Binance, paid in WLF's own stablecoin, USD1. CZ confirms it. USD1 grows from about $130 million to over $2 billion in weeks.Proven17
- May 2025Trump Media raises about $2.44 billion to buy bitcoin. The top 220 $TRUMP holders win dinner with the president; the token jumps about 60% on the news.Reported21
- Aug–Sep 2025ALT5 Sigma raises $1.5 billion to buy WLF's token, with Zach Witkoff as chair. Reuters says more than $500 million reached the family; the stock fell from above $9 to $0.75. American Bitcoin, co-founded by Eric Trump, lists and loses about 90%.Reported24
- Jun 30, 2026His 2025 financial disclosure shows more income from crypto than from real estate, including about $635 million in $TRUMP royalties.Reported23
We read the $MELANIA launch ourselves. Two wallets got 30% of the supply each, both seeded from the same Coinbase-funded wallet within minutes, and the tokens trace to wallets that call themselves melania-treasury.sol and melania-team.sol.
The rules bent
Nobody has been charged with trading favors here, and everyone involved denies it. These are dates on public records. Read them in order.
- 2025The SEC drops its cases against Coinbase, Kraken, Consensys and Cumberland, and then Binance. Justin Sun's case is paused, then settled in March 2026 for $10 million with no admission.Proven26
- Jul 18, 2025The GENIUS Act becomes law: the first federal rules for stablecoins like USD1. Its ethics clause leans on a conflict-of-interest law that, in its own words, does not apply to the President or Vice President. Amendments to cover the President weren't adopted.Proven68
- Aug 7, 2025An executive order on "politicized or unlawful debanking" tells bank regulators to drop reputation risk as a reason to refuse customers.Proven28
- Oct 23, 2025The president pardons CZ. In 2023 CZ pleaded guilty to failing to keep an effective anti-money-laundering program, and Binance paid $4.3 billion; the Treasury said it failed to report transactions tied to groups including al-Qaeda and ISIS. Asked about CZ: "I don't know him."Proven30
- Oct 18, 2026A year after the pardon, Binance's lobbyist is still filing "executive relief" as an issue every quarter. Its fees from Binance since September 2025 total $2.85 million. The firm's founder is a longtime hunting partner of Donald Trump Jr.; the two bought land together in 2021.Proven32
- Jul 2026Fortune reports the DOJ's monitoring of Binance under its plea deal "has effectively been paused." Binance says nothing has changed about its cooperation.Reported74
In 2015 the Trump Taj Mahal was fined under the Bank Secrecy Act. In 2023 CZ pleaded guilty under the same law. One got a fine. The other got a pardon.
Chain of custody
Here is how it played out, one record at a time. Four sequences, every step dated and sourced. None of them proves a deal, and everyone involved denies one. Lined up in order, they make the rest of this case make sense.

The network
We mapped 330 sourced connections across four worlds: the Trump ventures, Abu Dhabi's funds, Elon Musk's companies and Solana. Three names show up in all four.
Who signed for the Trump family's trust bank
From the federal bank regulator's conditional approval of World Liberty Trust Company, August 14, 2026. Commitments dated July 13, 2026.
- The regulator wrote that conflict-of-interest and emoluments concerns, and review of the UAE investors, were "outside the scope" of its review. The company behind the bank also signed a deal in January 2026 to bring USD1 into Pakistan's payments. CZ has advised Pakistan's crypto council since April 2025.Proven51
- The 2022 Twitter buyout filing lists Binance at $500 million and Witkoff Capital at $100 million in the same table of co-investors.Proven33
- On October 22, 2026, 93.2% of all USD1 on Solana sat in three Binance hot wallets. Hot wallets hold customer money, so this shows where the coin lives, not who owns it.Proven0
- Tether made more than $10 billion in 2025, mostly interest on the reserves behind its stablecoin. Binance handled about 39% of spot trading on the ten biggest exchanges.Reported35
- The crypto super PAC Fairshake and its affiliates spent over $130 million on the 2024 elections. Crypto was 48% of all corporate money in those races.Reported34
- The DOJ charged 18 people and firms, market makers among them, with faking trading volume for paying clients. A Jump Trading affiliate paid $123 million to settle SEC claims over Terra.Proven37
- Terra's bankruptcy administrator is suing Jump for $4 billion and Jane Street for trading ahead of the collapse. Both call the suits baseless.Alleged38
- When FTX's estate sold its Anthropic shares, the biggest buyer was a fund aligned with Abu Dhabi's Mubadala, then Jane Street. FTX customers were repaid at November 2022 prices: $16,871 per bitcoin, about a quarter of what one is worth now.Proven40
There's no single hidden hand in any of this, and we looked. What the map shows is simpler: the same few balance sheets sit on every side of the table. Whoever wins the trade, the house gets paid.
The feed
The money leaves your wallet through a feed. Here is what the platforms have admitted about who is in it.
"80% of crypto is simply bots." X's head of product, April 2026.
- In 2022 Elon Musk put fake and spam accounts at 20%, and said it could be much higher. X's own report counted 464 million spam account removals in the first half of 2024.Proven42
- The EU fined X €120 million in December 2025, finding that the paid blue check deceives users.Proven44
- X's published ranking code gives paid accounts a head start on trust. It only runs its check for coordinated reply spam under posts from accounts with 180,000+ followers.Proven45
- SpaceX's own securities filing describes an X account as "a human, bot or similar account."Proven0
- A peer-reviewed study of 29 exchanges found that on unregulated ones, over 70% of reported volume was wash trading.Proven46
- Solidus Labs flagged 98.7% of more than 7 million pump.fun tokens as showing pump-and-dump or rug traits. pump.fun disputes the method.Reported47
- On October 10, 2025, about $19 billion of leveraged trades were wiped out across 1.6 million accounts after a 100% China tariff post, the biggest liquidation in crypto history. Claims that an exchange's pricing made it worse are still allegations.Proven48
- Americans reported $11.37 billion in crypto fraud to the FBI in 2025. People over 60 lost $4.4 billion of it.Reported49
A bot posts the hype. A paid checkmark makes it look trustworthy. A volume chart full of the same money going around in circles makes it look real. Often the only person in the room spending their own money is you.
Our own numbers
These come from our own scans and chain reads, not anyone else's study. The investigations behind them are still online.
of 1,200 Solana launches we sampled were dead within 45 days: no pool left with even $1,000 in it.
- Of 3,676 tokens we scanned, 81% were sniped by their own developer and 80% were bundled. The sample leans toward brand-new launches.Proven50
- One wallet pair traded the same NFT back and forth 351 times, for 228 SOL of fake volume. In the same crew, 171 wallets were both buyer and seller.Proven50
- One token's real pool did $37,000 of trading while two empty shell pools reported $12.35 million. The chain's official account celebrated the volume anyway.Proven50
- On another launch, the deployer bought 79.25% of the supply and moved 65% to an insider wallet 37 seconds later.Proven50
- In one launch factory, the developer sniped and then exited on 12 of its top 12 tokens.Proven50
- Buying and selling an NFT costs about 7% a trade in fees and royalties. You need a 16.28% gain to break even on a round trip.Proven50
- We found no crew wallet holding $TRUMP, WLF's token or USD1. Not every story connects, and we said so.Proven50
Corrections we published. A forensics desk is only as good as what it takes back. These were ours.
A Flip.gg-funded crew ran the wash trading. Our own trace refuted it. The operator was never identified."AVAZ took 764 SOL."Our claim. Our deeper chain work disproved it.$8 billion of staked SOL earns nothing.Off by 16 times. The real figure was about $490 million across 17,840 accounts.Exchanges control Solana's validators.False. They run about 10% of the stake.A coordinated Trump, casino and influencer conspiracy. We tested it. The evidence doesn't support it.Elon pays crypto influencers. Not supported. These figures come from different studies and dates. They aren't added together, and no total is implied.
Read the chapters in order and the pattern is hard to miss. A man whose casinos lost money while he collected fees, and whom major banks dropped, became the biggest name in crypto within a year of taking office. His family made billions from tokens, a stablecoin and listed companies. The people who bought in lost about the same amount. The regulator dropped its cases. The founder of the exchange in the middle of it all was pardoned, and its lobbyist, a hunting partner of the president's son, is still billing for "executive relief." Foreign wealth funds sat on every side, and the feed that sold it to you was, by its own executives' account, mostly bots.
None of it needed a secret plan. It all happened in public, in filings, posts and press releases, because almost nobody reads the receipts. We let it happen by not looking.
So look. Every link on this page goes to a primary record or a named source. The next time a feed tells you you're early, ask who's selling to you.
Thank you
To the More Bears and Divine Kids holders who rebuilt a dead collection with me in 2022. To the Founders Pass holders and the Discord that stayed. To everyone who tested the scanner before it was ready and told me exactly how it broke. To the people who used the Telegram bot at 3am on a launch, who posted counter-evidence on our case files, and who argued with us until the work got better.
This was some of the most fun I've had building anything. It was loud, fast, sometimes unhinged, and it caught real people doing real damage. There are more important things to build now, and I'm going to go build them.
The record stays up. Use it.
