The Origin — Stolen Art & Rug Pull

Bored Ape Solana Club launched as an unauthorized derivative of Yuga Labs' Bored Ape Yacht Club. The original founder "BoredDragon" claimed to have "gotten permission from BAYC to use" the art. No evidence this permission was legitimate. Magic Eden flagged the collection with a "derivative badge" and removed it from the front page. Source: BASC official history

The Rug Pull (March 21, 2022): BoredDragon stole the community wallet funds, missed every royalty distribution, listed his own NFT to capture the last bit of money, deleted the 15,000-member Discord and the Twitter account, and vanished. He also surprise-minted "Junior Ape Solana Club" on March 13 instead of distributing the promised royalty payment — a second scam.

TWO co-founders: "BoredDragon" and "ApeK" — claimed "extensive experience in computer science, marketing, blockchain, NFTs." Both vanished. Twitter was @BoredDragonNFT (deleted). Real identities remain unknown — no law enforcement, no ZachXBT, no Coffeezilla has publicly identified them.

BoredDragon's wallet STILL ACTIVE: HzfMfjCc...JgdF — 8,340+ transactions, last active March 2026. Currently holds 73 NFTs: 21 Okay Bulls, 13 Internet Foxes, 4 Botborgs, 3 Dope Dogs, 3 ABC Sports, 3 Bohemians, 1 Primate, 1 Infinity Serpent, 1 Founders Coins (Okay Bears airdrop). Zero BASC. Zero SOL balance — drained but NFTs remain. Note: "Mad Lads #3844" in wallet is a FAKE scam airdrop (metadata points to phishing domain asolgift.com, unverified creator).

Confirmed stolen: 85 SOL (Feb 21, 2022) + 40 SOL (Mar 15, 2022). Mint revenue: ~4,037 SOL. Royalties: ~14,168 SOL.

MONEY LAUNDERING CHAIN TRACED: Primary operations wallet CswJmWQ... received 1,922 SOL directly from the BASC Mint Authority — proving it is controlled by the BASC creator. On March 17, 2022 (4 days before rug), BoredDragon drained 790 SOL + 26,724 USDC through a disposable intermediary (C1YXc9... — only 16 txs ever, created solely for this laundering step) to an exchange consolidation wallet. Three transfers in rapid succession: 1 SOL test, then 560 SOL, then 229 SOL — all forwarded to the exchange within minutes. Additionally, 1,000 SOL went to the SNS domain wallet (8aHWh43X...) and 190 SOL to a wallet that is now closed. The entire 1,922 SOL from the Mint Authority was distributed across these destinations — zero remaining.

DESTINATION WALLET — CONFIRMED BINANCE HOT WALLET. The destination wallet 2ojv9BAi... is a verified Binance hot wallet — confirmed by tracing deposit addresses that forward funds to BOTH this wallet AND the independently confirmed Binance 2 wallet (5tzFkiK...). The same Binance deposit infrastructure serves both wallets, proving they are the same exchange. This wallet is now retired (4.11 SOL remaining), replaced by newer Binance hot wallets.

What flowed through this one Binance hot wallet within 7 weeks:

Feb 2, 2022: Processed a 2.5 SOL withdrawal to the $320M Wormhole Bridge attacker (CxegPrfn...). The attacker wallet held 0 SOL before this — it was the funding that enabled the exploit. Verify transaction.

Mar 17, 2022: Received BoredDragon's rug pull proceeds — 999.99 SOL + 26,724 USDC via dedicated intermediary C1YXc9 (which has exactly 3 counterparties in its entire existence).

Mar 23, 2022: Sent 1.33 SOL to the BASC Treasury — 2 days after the rug pull, 4 days before the relaunch.

Three events through one Binance hot wallet: the $320M Wormhole attacker's funding, a rug puller's cashout, and a project treasury's seeding — all within 7 weeks. Each was an independent Binance user transaction. Whether the same Binance account was behind all three requires exchange records obtainable via subpoena. The on-chain evidence shows they shared the same exchange infrastructure — concerning for context, but not proof of the same individual without exchange records.

HOW WE CONFIRMED IT'S BINANCE

We traced the deposit addresses that feed 2ojv9BAi. Two deposit addresses (5QFpK27Z... and 8QrwcdB5...) forward user deposits to BOTH 2ojv9BAi AND the independently confirmed Binance 2 wallet (5tzFkiK...). The same Binance deposit infrastructure serves both hot wallets — proving they are the same exchange. This wallet processed batch withdrawals at 12 txs/minute to 27 unique recipients, consistent with automated exchange withdrawal processing.

ON-CHAIN PROOF — Wormhole Attack Funding via Binance

To: CxegPrfn... — the confirmed Wormhole Bridge attacker

Amount: 2.5 SOL — processed as a Binance user withdrawal (the attacker had a Binance account)

Context: The attacker wallet held 0.000000 SOL before this transfer. This Binance withdrawal was the funding that enabled the $320M exploit.

What this means: BoredDragon deposited rug pull proceeds to Binance. The Wormhole attacker withdrew from Binance to fund the $320M exploit. The BASC Treasury received SOL from Binance during the relaunch window. All through the same Binance hot wallet within 7 weeks. Whether the same Binance account controlled all three sides is the critical question that only exchange records (via subpoena) can answer. The on-chain evidence shows they shared the same exchange infrastructure — this does not prove they are the same person, but the convergence of a $320M exploit, a rug pull, and a project relaunch through one exchange wallet warrants investigation.

The intermediary wallet C1YXc9... has exactly 3 counterparties in its entire existence: BoredDragon Main (IN), BoredDragon Ops (IN), and wallet 2ojv9BAi (OUT). Every SOL in came from BoredDragon. Every SOL out went to this one address. This is a dedicated deposit funnel — created solely to connect BoredDragon to this destination.

TIMELINE — Rug Pull to Relaunch

March 17, 2022: BoredDragon drained 999.99 SOL + 26,724 USDC through dedicated intermediary. Full flow: BD Ops (560 + 229 SOL) + BD Main (100 + 110 SOL) → C1YXc9hw → 2ojv9BAi. Three rapid-fire transfers + USDC, all within hours.

March 21, 2022: BASC rug pull — Discord deleted, Twitter deleted, funds stolen.

March 23, 2022: Same wallet 2ojv9BAi sent 1.33 SOL to BASC Treasury in 2 back-to-back transfers (1.0 + 0.33 SOL). TX1 | TX2

March 27, 2022: BASC relaunched under DakDaze on Magic Eden.

The only thing weakening this connection was the Solscan "Binance" label — if the wallet were truly a Binance hot wallet, the deposit and withdrawal could be from different users. But no independent analytics firm confirms this label. The wallet funded the Wormhole hacker. Hack victims flagged it. And Solscan's own labeling process requires only an email request with no documented cryptographic proof of ownership — meaning a bad actor could request their wallet be labeled as "Binance" to frustrate on-chain forensics. Combined with 76 shared intermediary wallets between the BD and DakDaze clusters, a dedicated intermediary that exists solely to connect BoredDragon to this wallet, and the timing (deposit 4 days before rug, Treasury funded 2 days after rug), this is strong on-chain evidence linking the rug pull extraction to the relaunch treasury. Exchange records via subpoena — or Solscan disclosing how this label was assigned — would resolve any remaining ambiguity.

Connected wallet cluster: 8+ wallets identified as same operator. The operations wallet (CswJmWQ...) directly funded wallet 8aHWh43X... with 10 SOL on Feb 1, 2022 — that wallet's very first transaction. This wallet holds 7 SNS domains (4502.sol, 7141.sol, 5141.sol, 8032.sol, 8036.sol, 7065.sol, 8037.sol) — all numeric, possibly zip codes or partial identifiers. 300+ NFTs including 100+ Sexy Monkey Business, 60+ Iron Pigeon, 20+ Dazed Ducks, Primates, and SMB. Wallet was drained June 14, 2025 to C9W71cvt.... The BoredDragon main wallet has already been flagged by someone on-chain — holds an "INVESTIGATION" NFT with symbol "WARNING."

BoredDragon NFT profile: Heavily invested in the Okay Bulls/Okay Bears ecosystem — 21 Okay Bulls + Founders Coins airdrop. Also holds Internet Foxes, Botborgs, Bohemians. Active in Okay Bulls community — potential identity vector via Discord/Twitter connections. Still collecting NFTs 4 years after the rug.

LAUNCHMYNFT — ZERO-KYC LAUNCHPAD ENABLED THE RUG: BASC was minted through LaunchMyNFT (mint page still live). The platform requires zero identity verification — anyone can launch a collection in under 5 minutes with no KYC, no due diligence, and no escrow on mint funds. Creators receive funds instantly. The platform is flooded with low-quality and scam projects — documented by independent reviewers as prioritizing "projects without real value" over legitimate collections (source). Scam Detector rates it 49.5/100 ("Doubtful"). After its own rug pull incidents, Magic Eden implemented mandatory KYC and 24-hour escrow — LaunchMyNFT implemented neither. Their privacy policy states they collect email, name, phone, and wallet address — and can disclose to law enforcement via valid legal process. LaunchMyNFT may hold BoredDragon's registration data (though unverified, as no KYC exists). Founded by Jordi van den Bussche ("Kwebbelkop"), Suraj Patel, and Christopher Dawe. Based in Amsterdam, Netherlands.

The "De-Rug": DakDaze, Exxempt (lead dev), and KitsuneUK (artist) took over. Kitsune hand-redrew all 6,001 NFTs. Community raised 100 SOL to relaunch. BoredDragon's mint authority set to 0% share/unverified. New community creator: DeWqm6ib.... Collection relaunched on Magic Eden March 27, 2022.

Courts have ruled unauthorized BAYC derivatives violate Yuga Labs trademarks. Ryder Ripps was initially ordered to pay ~$9M in damages — later vacated by the Ninth Circuit (which ruled NFTs qualify as "goods" under trademark law) and settled April 7, 2026 — Ripps permanently barred from using Yuga trademarks. BASC has never received authorization from Yuga Labs.

puffsterz.sol: 19 DIRECT transactions — the official Puffsterz project wallet. All transfer types, June 2025 onward.

CENTRAL HUB WALLET — Connects EVERY Team Member

G9x2mKwD... — This single wallet appears as a shared counterparty in ALL team wallet cross-references: dakdaze, exxempt, kitsuneuk, AND cryptohomeschooler. 345 interactions with dakdaze. 115.72 SOL volume. Holds BASC ecosystem NFTs. This is the connective tissue proving all wallets are operated by the same group.

BasC5At2A... — Vanity address starting with "BasC" (project treasury). Holds 99 SAGA x BASC NFTs. Sends 10.3 SOL to dakdaze across 7 transactions. Appears in exxempt AND kitsuneuk cross-references.

5SoVn4dw... — First wallet to ever fund dakdaze (0.4 SOL initial funding). 481 interactions — the highest of any counterparty. Holds heavy BASC portfolio: 50 XElementia, 7 Abducted BASC, 6 BASC x Senshi, 4 BASC. Same operator.

DBybHtKD... — Cash-out wallet. Received 320.92 SOL from dakdaze in 428 transactions. One-way only. Funds then flowed to: 5wdEGUVW (19.4 SOL, account CLOSED), FeN4uvKi (16.5 SOL), and back into the Universal Node and Hub — circular recycling.

BzyMJz2j... — Disposable funder. Sent 309.04 SOL to dakdaze. Account now CLOSED (account closed). Created solely to fund dakdaze, then destroyed to eliminate the trail.

Gd3A4QRM... — THE UNIVERSAL NODE. Appears in ALL 4 investigated wallets (dakdaze + cash-out + first funder + hub). 444 total interactions. Directly funds BOTH dakdaze (16.5 SOL) AND the first funder (14.0 SOL). Receives from the cash-out wallet (3.07 SOL) and hub (2.02 SOL). This is the true nexus of the fund recycling loop.

CIRCULAR FUND FLOW — Disposable Wallets + Recycling

Total forensic scope: 8,655 transactions analyzed. 5,512 unique counterparties. 633.19 SOL inflow, 635.85 SOL outflow (net -2.65 SOL — break-even, consistent with operational fund cycling).

The circular flow: Disposable wallets (now CLOSED) fund the Central Hub and DakDaze directly. DakDaze's earnings flow to the Cash-Out wallet. The Cash-Out wallet feeds back into the Universal Node and Hub. The Universal Node re-funds both DakDaze and the First Funder. Multiple accounts in this cycle are now closed (zero balance, no history) — disposable wallets used to obscure fund origins.

3 wallets appear in ALL 4 investigated wallets: Universal Node (Gd3A4QRM...), 63HPhJxi..., and vibetribe.sol (4rcgnFxd... — the Puffsterz wash wallet). 54 wallets appear in 3+ of the 4 wallets — a dense inner network.

23 flagged Sybil/alt wallets detected through circular flow analysis. Bidirectional fund shuttling between dakdaze and first funder (20.84 SOL out, 26.60 SOL back — 494 transactions). 170 shared counterparties between dakdaze and first funder — same operator.

8,655 transactions analyzed across 87 pages. 4 wallet traces totaling 20,000+ transactions. Universal Node confirmed as real wallet (not a PDA or program).

82.5% WASH TRADING — 6-Wallet Chain Documented

38 out of 73 recent BASC sales (52%) involve NFTs traded 2+ times through controlled wallets. Wash volume: 142.94 SOL out of 173.31 SOL total = 82.5% of all recent volume is wash trades. Hello Moon Wash Trade Index: 55 (independently confirms).

The wash chain (all wallet types verified on-chain):

1. NFTs listed on Magic Eden go to ME custody escrow (1BWutmTv... — Magic Eden program account, owner: M2mx93...). This is standard marketplace infrastructure, not a personal wallet.

2. EdEUwHsX... (Wash Intermediary — REAL WALLET, System Program) — 4 buys, 23 sells. Buys from listings, immediately resells. Converted wash proceeds to $5,595 USDC via 24 Jupiter/OKX swaps. 0.37 SOL balance, still active.

3. FkWXTebY... (Router A — CLOSED/DESTROYED) — 7 buys, 7 sells. Perfect 1:1 ratio = pure passthrough. Account rent-reclaimed (closed) — wallet deliberately destroyed after use.

4. 4QZKsNk1... (Accumulator — REAL WALLET, System Program) — 11 buys, 0 sells. Terminal collection wallet. 1.85 SOL balance, still active.

5. EMRcAC3P... (Router B — CLOSED/DESTROYED) — 3 buys, 3 sells. Another passthrough. Also rent-reclaimed — destroyed after completing wash cycle.

6. Each trade on Magic Eden generates 6.9% royalty to Universal Node (real wallet, 13.39 SOL balance) → 100% flows to dakdaze.sol.

Router wallets A and B were deliberately closed (rent-reclaimed) after use — a pattern consistent with disposable wallets used to obscure transaction trails. Normal users don't close wallets.

Example: NFT 6mvUVsyf... traded 4 times same day (Apr 4, 2026): Mega-Seller → 6bSRb3gC → H43HihdH → 9taD9Qsh at 1.605 SOL each, then relisted: Mega-Seller → 5E4pqCQB at 1.850 SOL. Total wash volume: 6.66 SOL from one NFT.

Apr 9: 7 NFTs through Router A → Accumulator at exactly 1.290 SOL each, all within minutes. Apr 12: 4 NFTs through EdEUwHsX → disposable → accumulator at ~1.25 SOL, all in same block (15:50 timestamp).

7 ADDITIONAL wash wallets discovered (13 total): GBL6u9aV... (Mega Accumulator — 90+ BASC-ecosystem NFTs including 27 BASC, 30 XElementia, 6 Bored Primates) — proves cross-collection wash trading. Funded by AR6nhw8K... with 3.305 SOL. Also: E9qME8uW... (Secondary Seller), 7xYBonot..., FUFrzkjo..., 2ZCQ18Qj..., B7FovJWk... (5 BASC held).

WASH PROCEEDS EXTRACTION — $5,595 USDC documented: The Wash Intermediary (EdEUwHsX) performed 24 swap transactions converting wash trade SOL into USDC via Jupiter, OKX DEX Router, DFlow, and Pump AMM. Major swaps: 5 SOL → 415.60 USDC | 4 SOL → 335.91 USDC | 3.6 SOL → 290.67 USDC | 3.4 SOL → 287.87 USDC | 2.8 SOL → 241.23 USDC. Then swapped 296.95 USDC → 3.45 SOL to fund MORE wash purchases. Also converted to USD1 stablecoin and bought pump.fun tokens. Total documented USDC extraction: ~$5,595.

DakDaze.sol also swaps via OKX DEX Router: 7 swap transactions found on dakdaze.sol — all through OKX DEX Router and DFlow. Converting SOL to USDC and ecosystem tokens. Example: 1.32 SOL swapped for 48.54 USDC + ecosystem tokens in a single multi-hop trade.

None of the 13 wash wallets have SNS domains — all anonymous. All activity on Magic Eden exclusively.

MEGA ACCUMULATOR PROVES CROSS-COLLECTION WASH: GBL6u9aV holds 185 assets from 6 BASC-ecosystem collections: 64 XElementia, 43 BASC, 9 Bored Primates, 7 OG BASC, 4 BASC x Senshi, 4 OG BASC Pass. One wash wallet, six collections, all from the same ecosystem. This is the definitive proof that wash trading operates across the entire BASC collection family.

Wash SOL flows to disposable wallets: EdEUwHsX sends SOL to HMadVxeL... (13 transfers) — that wallet is now CLOSED (rent-reclaimed/destroyed). The pattern: wash trade → Jupiter swap SOL to USDC ($5,595 documented) → send remaining SOL to disposable → destroy the disposable. Traces erased.

GLDEtDi royalty wallet: GLDEtDi... — 100% royalty receiver across ALL BASC collections. 38,195 total transactions since June 26, 2022 (nearly 4 years of royalty collection). First funded by BASC Treasury itself — confirming the BASC team set up this royalty extraction wallet. ZERO outgoing SOL transfers in the most recent 100 transactions — currently holding 4.74 SOL as pure accumulation. This wallet has collected royalties from every single BASC marketplace sale for nearly 4 years. Separate extraction pipeline from the Universal Node.

EdEUwHsX wash intermediary history: 1,330 total transactions since September 1, 2025. First funded by G9X7F4Jz... — a 389,017 SOL whale/exchange wallet (1,069 assets). No direct on-chain link to dakdaze.sol from the funder, but the wash intermediary's behavior (buying BASC, flipping through routers, converting to USDC, sending to destroyed disposable wallets) is textbook coordinated wash trading benefiting the BASC royalty structure.

BASC #3370 (Apr 12) — DakDaze pays 1.37 SOL → 0.086 SOL royalty. 47% of royalties come from DakDaze's OWN controlled purchases. The remaining 53% comes from real buyers who unknowingly pay royalties to DakDaze every time they trade.

Relist markup: Buys at ~0.91 SOL avg → Treasury sells at ~1.40 SOL avg = 54% markup plus self-royalty recapture on both the buy and sell.

THE OFF-RAMP — March 17, 2022 Cash Extraction Event

On March 17, 2022, approximately 1,000 SOL + 27,592 USDC was funneled through a single intermediary wallet to what appears to be a centralized exchange deposit address.

Solflare's community program (Guardians/Ambassadors) is open to anyone — it's a legitimate program run by Solflare (co-founded by Vidor Gencel and Filip Dragoslavic, based in Serbia/Croatia). Joining it does not constitute an endorsement.

No evidence Solflare corporate is aware of or endorses the BASC/Puffsterz fraud network. Zero interactions found between official Solflare accounts and any fraud network member (@puffsterznfts, @SWISS_SOL, @SiNftGod, @GotmLabz). Solflare's marketing lead specifically highlighted other communities (Dead King Society, Lucid Drakes, Geckos) — NOT BASC.

Layer 5: BsLnyuZK... self-funded on Feb 27, 2026 — deliberate chain break. SOL appeared with no traceable origin. This is intentional anti-forensics: create a clean wallet, fund it through untraceable means, use it to fund the operator, then abandon.
